Brazil is not only the largest country in Latin America, some of its universities also rank highest in the subcontinent’s university rankings. Exactly a year ago, in April 2014, the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation decided to position the sixth – and first Latin American – swissnex office in Rio de Janeiro, with a satellite office in São Paulo, Brazil.
On April 17th, swissnex Brazil CEO Gioia Deucher and her colleague Mayra Castro, who heads the São Paulo office, will share their insights and present an overview of the country’s higher education system, collaboration opportunities and related challenges. Also, Julien Bettler, Programme Manager at EPFL Leading House Brazil, will present the funding instruments used to promote bilateral scientific cooperation.
EPFL kindly invites representatives of international and mobility offices, as well as alumni coordinators and other interested parties to join the presentations, followed by an informal exchange over apéro.
