Science and Education Policy
Similar to specialized institutions for science and technology studies in other countries, CESTs mission is to provide studies serving as a basis for Switzerlands science and technology policy. The emphasis is on analyses necessary for monitoring, evaluation and prospective activities. CESTs activities complement those of other institutions and offices. It acts independently and in accordance with scientific methodology.
Swiss University Conference (CUS)
The Swiss University Conference (CUS) is a joint organization of the cantons and the Confederation for university politics. It has the power to enforce a number of decisions in defined areas and tasks such as recognition of academic bodies and courses, directives on evaluation of teaching and research, directives on knowledge transfer in research and directives on the length of studies and recognition of previous studies.
Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK)
The CDEP coordinates the work of the cantonal ministers of education on a national level. The website offers an overview of the education systems with key facts, statistics and contacts to all cantonal education departments, and links to Education Research centers.
