Swiss Academy of Arts and Sciences
The Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences is an association of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT), the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHS), the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMS), and the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW) as well as the two centers of excellence TA-SWISS and Science et Cité. Their collaboration is focused on foresight, ethics and the dialogue between science and society.
Swiss Academy of Natural Sciences (SAS)
SAS is a national forum which aims to promote and support natural sciences. It fosters the exchange among scientist, participates in science politics and encourages international collaboration.
Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMS)
SAMS was founded by the five Swiss medical faculties and concentrates on two main programs, Medicine and Society and Medical Science and Practice. SAMS aims to promote and support the professional training of the coming generation and high-quality research, as well as to reflect on the future of medicine and ethical questions.
Swiss Academy of Human and Social Sciences (SAGW)
SAGW is the parent organization of over 50 societies covering a wide spectrum of subjects from literature to communication sciences, ethnology and theology. It is the biggest network for human and social sciences in Switzerland.
Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW)
SATW is a non-profit, independent organization which is committed to research, education, innovation and support of young talents. SATW comprises over 60 institutions and companies in the field of technical sciences.
